Suck It Comes from Memories Unhealthy Mouth

Suck It comes from memories Unhealthy Mouth

Difficulty remembering people's names, route or series of numbers indicating a less healthy oral health. A study to prove it.

Dr. Bei Wu, a gerontologis from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro has conducted a study to determine the relationship between oral health and memory.

Researchers have long studied the relationship actually is. Suspected oral health is one reason why a person's memory is low.

Health24 reported yesterday, Tuesday (07/21/2009), a total of 273 patients from West Virginia to test the ability of the brain, evaluation of dental health, and blood checks to determine whether there is any protein that causes brain capacity is reduced. The results showed that those who have low memory proved to have poor oral health.

"It is becoming increasingly clear and it can be concluded that in order to get the healthier the whole, a person must have good oral health," said Dr. Richard Crout, mouth disease experts from West Virginia University School of Dentistry, Morgantown.

Dr. Wu and Crout reported that an unhealthy mouth will affect brain function, particularly toward adults. However, this study will continue to be developed to investigate the factors and socioeconomic status of medical conditions, especially cardiovascular disease.

"The mouth is not healthy is known to affect heart health, stroke, diabetes, and Alzheimer's disease," Crout said.

This is justified by Dr Tengku Johan Bahdar SpPD, a specialist in internal medicine from the hospital Bintaro Jakarta that often get in the disease cases originating from the mouth.

"I often get patients who complain of a particular illness, and after being tested and didiagnosisi, apparently the source of his illness is his mouth," said Bahdar.

Mouth and teeth was closely related to the disease that attacks organs such as heart (endocarditis), brain (abscess), lungs (pneumonia), skin (urticaria / biduran), bone (inflammation sebdi), and soft tissue (cellulite).

According Bahdar, infection of the teeth and gums can spread and spread into the body through blood vessels, eventually causing systemic disease in the body.

"So if one time a disease is detected in the body, best to check first, whether oral health is good or not, because it could be the beginning of the mouth. And any treatment must be started from the mouth," said Bahdar.
